With less than 2 days to go, the Fiji Police Force is yet to make a decision on the issuing of permit for the Fiji Trades Union Congress march and rally scheduled for this Saturday.
Police say that they will make a decision later regarding the permit application of the FTUC march.
Some people have raised concerns on why marches are still being allowed by authorities on the main street of the capital city as it creates a lot of inconvenience and the already high level of traffic becomes chaotic.
Fijivillage has also received information that some organizations that initially decided to ask for the closure of the road to march, changed their decision saying that it will only inconvenience the general public.
FTUC believes that there is nothing that should hold the Fiji Police Force back in issuing the permit for the FTUC march scheduled for this Saturday.
FTUC National Secretary Felix Anthony confirmed to Legend FM News that they have just been granted permission to use Sukuna Park for their rally.
Anthony says SCC had earlier given Sukuna Park to Coca Cola for an event although FTUC had booked the park in December. However SCC has given the park to FTUC again based on conditions.
SCC CEO Bijay Chand says that they have now given Sukuna Park back to FTUC subject to the condition that they get the final approval from the Fiji Police Force.
