Police Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu says police are working around the clock to arrest those involved in home invasions.
ACP Tudravu has made this clear as a man has appeared in court in relation to a robbery in Namadi Heights.
He says the divisional police commanders are taking these cases of aggravated robberies seriously and dedicated teams are investigating the cases.
A 43-year-old man has been produced in court for his alleged involvement in an aggravated robbery case in Namadi Heights.
A report was received at the Samabula Police Station last Tuesday where 2 people had allegedly entered a home occupied by a 42 year old woman and her 18-year-old daughter.
The two suspects then allegedly stole cash including local and foreign currencies.
Upon receipt of the call, a team from the Samabula Police Station and K9 unit were deployed to the scene.
Investigations carried out by officers led to the arrest of two men aged 43 and 32 years.
The 32-year-old suspect was questioned and released while the 43-year-old man has been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.
The accused has been remanded and the case is transferred to the High Court for bail application on the 5th of July.
