Police will not question a faith healer in relation to the death of a 47‑year‑old woman in Lautoka on Monday.
Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri says according to the post mortem report, the woman’s death has been attributed to blood clots in her arteries.
When questioned on why the spiritual healer will not be questioned, Sokomuri said the husband chose not to take his wife to the hospital.
It is alleged that the woman was not feeling well and her husband took her to the faith healer.
Police say it is alleged that the woman’s pulse could not be felt during the spiritual healing process.
She was then rushed to the Lautoka Hospital for medical attention however it was too late.
