Police have asked the relatives of the student who was assaulted in a school in Lautoka last week not to interfere with their work as they continue their investigations.
Another fight almost broke out between some relatives of the victim and some senior students at the school in the last hour.
Police had to intervene and asked the other relatives of the victim to stay away from the students and let them investigate the matter.
The parents of the student who was allegedly assaulted are meeting with the principal of the school, police and officials from the Education Ministry.
The Year 11 student was allegedly assaulted by other students in the school on Friday afternoon.
Fijivillage understands that video footage of the alleged incident was played in front of the parents, police and two Ministry of Education representatives.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms that they are closely monitoring the situation.
They are now waiting for the students who were allegedly involved in the incident to finish their exams before they can be questioned.
The family has told Fijivillage that the student who is a prefect in his school went to stop an argument and he was allegedly bashed up by a group of students.
The student had to be taken to a hospital as he received facial injuries.
