Police are still trying identify a passenger who allegedly spat on the face of a bus driver who had refused to take cash as bus fare.
Police have confirmed the report was lodged at the Suva Market Police Post last Friday.
They have also confirmed that the bus driver had lodged the complaint as an "unknown" passenger and they cannot speculate on possible charges until the investigations are completed.
Bus drivers are banned from accepting cash from passengers and if found they will be fined.
In January this year the Land Transport Authority had fined a bus driver $1,000 because he allegedly accepted cash from a young boy and did not issue a receipt.
