Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says that the Eastern Division Traffic Personnel and the Police Special Response Team divers had conducted a search along the river bank yesterday but this was later called off due to rising water levels and strong currents.
Police also received information that the driver of the vehicle that went into the river in Naduruloulou near Baulevu, Nausori could be an 18-year-old man.
Naisoro says a woman came forward and said that her son had taken the vehicle. She says both her son and the vehicle cannot be located.

Police had earlier said that the driver and three passengers are believed to be still inside the submerged vehicle.
