Police are reminding parents and guardians on the importance of supervision during the Hibiscus Festival as 11 children were separated from their parents and guardians yesterday.
Police say a large crowd is anticipated today as it is the last day of the festival and supervision of children is necessary.
Police had earlier stated that last Saturday 10 children were in the care of officers as they had been lost in the crowd, with the youngest being 2-years-old.
Police say a childcare area has been created at the Valelevu Police Bure where children separated from their parents and guardians are kept, and in the event a child goes missing parents are requested to check there.
