Police recover $50,000 from Nadi robbery

Police have recovered $50,000 which was robbed from City Forex Foreign Exchange in Nadi on Friday morning.

Five masked men were involved in the robbery and they later fled in a getaway vehicle with the money following which road blocks were erected in the Western Division.

Police Media Officer West Naina Ragigia confirmed that three people alleged to have been involved in the robbery are now in custody.

Ragigia added that while two are being questioned by police, one suspect is admitted at the hospital as he had received injuries during the arrest.

The hunt is still on for two other suspects.
