With 24 days left for the country’s General Election Fiji Police Force have today received a timely assistance on the launch of the Election Training Manual.
While launching the pocket size booklet training manual the Acting British High Commissioner Daniel Salter said the Police Force has a crucial role to play in the Electoral process.
Salter said the 4,000 manual booklets will assist police officers on the ground in following protocols during the one day elections.
He added the British High Commission is pleased to assist the Fiji Police Force in the funding of the printing of the manual and funding of the internal training of the Fiji Police team to travel around Fiji to brief Police Officers.
Meanwhile, ACP Rusiate Tudravu said they are still waiting for the approval of the Police General Elections Budget from the Government.
In the Fiji Police Elections Operational Manual that is divided into different sections Officers are advised on a number of areas such as the Time of Polling, Police Presence During Counting, Police Duties and Campaign Restrictions during Polling.
