Police are currently questioning the mother of the 3-year-old girl who was found wandering alone in Makoi this morning.
Earlier today, Police requested for information to help identify the young girl believed to be 3 years of age who was found wandering alone outside the home of a police officer at Pritam Singh Road.
The young girl was at Totogo Police Station from early this morning.
The mother came forward after relatives allegedly informed her of the request after seeing the plea on social media.
Police have now confirmed that the mother is under investigation for alleged negligence while Police are also liaising with the Social Welfare Department to look into the child’s welfare.
