Police look for Turagalevu in relation to accident between Samabula and Nabua

Police are still looking for 49-year-old Ponipate Turagalevu of Naiyala Settlement, Tacirua in relation to the accident between Samabula and Nabua on Sunday where two lives were lost.

Police say Turagalevu was the driver of the rental car that was involved in this fatal accident.

People with information on his whereabouts are requested to call Samabula Police Station on 3381222 or Crime Stoppers on 919.

Police say the survivors have confirmed that they hired the rental car to take them home as there were no taxis.

Meanwhile, the second passenger who was involved in this accident passed away yesterday.

The man was 19-years-old.

A 21-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle, passed away at the hospital on Sunday.

The other two passengers aged 24 and 19 years, are still admitted at the CWM hospital in a stable condition.

Police say the Toyota Fielder rental car they were travelling in veered off Ratu Mara Road and tumbled 40 metres down a cliff at around 6.30am Sunday.
