Police investigators are expected to start questioning a 39 year old man later this afternoon who is in police custody following the death of his father-in-law this morning.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the incident occurred at around 1.30am in Nasinu where the suspect is alleged to have assaulted his wife and both in-laws in their home following a heated argument.
The police report states the alleged assault continued outside their home whereby the suspect allegedly assaulted both in-laws with foreign objects.
Neighbours who came to the assistance of the three victims took them to the hospital where the father-in-law was pronounced dead.
The other two victims remain admitted at the CWM Hospital in a stable condition as investigations continue.
