Some of the snapshots of hate speeches that incite hatred towards Muslim members of our community on social media is currently being investigated by Police.
In an interview with Fijivillage Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho says that in the wake of the terrorist shooting in Christchurch on the 15th of this month people have shifted to fear and hatred of Islam and Qiliho stressed that this cannot be accepted.
Qiliho also highlighted that clear directives has been given to the Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigation and also to the Director CID to conduct their investigations quickly and thoroughly.
He adds that once investigations are complete people responsible will be produced in court in accordance with the law that is in place.
