Police finds more wreckage of the boat carrying missing father and son

Another wreckage of the boat carrying 43‑year‑old John Knowles of Kulukulu, Sigatoka and his 11‑year‑old son Ilisoni Naulumatua has been found.

The Police Search and Rescue centre says they found no major leads while following traces of the wreckage they found yesterday.

Police say there is still no clear sign of what would have happened to the two.

Pieces of the boat were found at the mouth of the Sigatoka river on Monday and it was confirmed by the owner to be from the missing boat.

The father and his son left for the trip on Saturday and a missing persons report was filed at the Sigatoka Police Station when they failed to return.
