Police have confirmed that investigators are working on information provided by the victim of an alleged kidnapping attempt on Thursday morning in Valelevu who claims she saw four other children tied up in a white van.
Police say the victim claimed she recognised the uniforms worn by the four children.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says that investigators have liaised with the heads of the three schools and confirmed that no student has been reported missing or unaccounted for by their parent or guardian.
Naisoro says that checks have also been made at all Police Stations in the Southern and Eastern Division area of operations, from Navua to Nausori and no reports of missing children remain pending over the last 48 hour period.
She says that the alleged kidnapping report received involving the 11year old student is the only report received so far, and there hasn't been any new report lodged during the same 48hour period.
Police are therefore pleading with anyone whose child is missing or if their child had witnessed or is aware of the alleged kidnapping or abduction incident to come forward or call Crime Stoppers on 919.
Police say that they will continue to look into all the information provided to verify the claims of the alleged kidnapping incident.
