Police appeal for hit and run vehicle information

Police are appealing to the public to come forward if they have any information on the vehicle that was involved in a hit and run accident along Queens Road in Bara Sigatoka last Friday night.

A 39-year-old man was hit by an unknown vehicle believed to be travelling from Nadi to Sigatoka.

The accident occurred between 11pm to 12am.

A group selling BBQ in the area rushed to the scene to assist the accident victim however they did not see the car registration.

The man was rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital but was pronounced dead.

Anyone with the information about the incident that could help the police to identify the vehicle is requested to call the nearest Police Station or Divisional Traffic Officer West on 9905633.
