Officers from the Police Special Response Unit that were deployed to the STAR Printery have been redeployed to beef up security at the Fijian Elections Office headquarters.
Police operations at the STAR Printery has ended.
Chief of Operations ACP Maretino Qiolevu says officers from the Police Special Response Unit that were deployed to the Printery will now be redeployed to beef up security at the FEO headquarters.
Qiolevu says since the 1st of October, Police Special Response Unit officers have been deployed to the FEO Headquarters.
Over 2000 officers will be deployed specifically for the General Election operations while the remaining officers will focus on routine operations.
