The main reason as to why complaints against the police continue to be received is because some officers have the wrong attitude.
The Commissioner of Police Brigadier General, Sitiveni Qiliho highlighted this while giving his speech at the 2nd Quarter Parade in the Northern Division.
Qiliho says police officers should never take their work for granted as people's safety and livelihood are in their hands.
He adds officers who may be unhappy about something, should raise their issue through the proper channels and not take it out on their work.
Qiliho added saying that Sargent Majors have been empowered to be the voice of the officers and to bring issues of concern directly to his office.
He adds that this will also give him a chance to better understand what's happening within the police force and for issues to not fester and become problematic.
Meanwhile Qiliho also congratulated officers who received medals saying that without their hard work and support, the Fiji Police Force wouldn't be where it is today.
