The Fiji Police Force is reviewing the manning of all the police community posts.
Commissioner of Police, Ben Groenewald made this comment while speaking to people at the Eastern Division talanoa session at Vunimono Hall in Nausori.
A question was raised by the Chairman of the Baulevu Crime Prevention Committee, Jaywant Pratap on why there are only five police officers working at the Baulevu police community post on a 24 hour basis.
Groenewald says they will have to look into this matter.
He says this is one of those issues they will have to go back and see how they can improve services at the community posts.
The Police Commissioner also says they have to see whether there is a need for the police community post to be open 24 hours.
Groenewald says they need at least 12 police officers to operate community posts 24 hours.
He adds they can do better if there are more police officers to do more patrols in the area.
