Good news for the people living in the Northern Division as there are plans to install street lights from Savusavu town to Labasa.
Attorney General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum highlighted this during the 2017-2018 budget consultation in Savusavu today.
Sayed-Khaiyum says the street lights will be installed along villages, business district and junctions.
He says they will call for tender in June this year and the work on this project is expected to be completed by June next year.
Meanwhile, the owner of Vishnu Holding bus company Kamlesh Chandra raised concern about the condition of roads during rainy season.
He says it becomes difficult for them to provide bus services.
Sayed-Khaiyum says he will look into this issue.
