Good news as piped water supply will soon be available to Health staff of Waimaro Nursing Station in Rakiraki through a new bore hole.
The Waimaro Nursing Station is currently dependent on two water tanks.
The borehole has been dug at a depth of 245 feet and has been tested with the capacity of a flow rate of 600 gallons per hour.
The Minister for Health and Medical Services, Jone Usamate said water is a necessity and the Ministry is ensuring safe and efficient supply of water is available.
Usamate added that this will further enable the Ministry to prevent and control water borne diseases.
This project is expected to be completed by the end of this month.
