‘Philosophy of Love’ is a book that shows different types of love between people and communities.
This book is written by a local author Uttara Gurdayal and it was launched at the University of the South Pacific last night.
While talking about her new book, Gurdayal says the word love has so many colors and it is priceless.
The 66-year-old former school teacher says one of the best short stories in her book that made her emotional while writing was a story of a mother and a child.
She says every day the child sees her mother making roti in an earth oven and she gets burnt all the time.
When the month of Ramadan comes he collects money and buys his mum a pair of tongs to ensure that she does not get burnt.
She says that she wants to tell people that love could also be found in small events.
The book also has themes such as life values, principles such as good deeds, faith, will power, courage and integrity.
Doctor Mahendra Reddy was the Chief Guest at the launch.
Reddy says our young generation in Fiji should always be encouraged to write books.
He says new technologies and more resources are available to support the youth to research and write.
