A performance bonus payout of $1.324 million has been announced for the 735 staff of the Fiji Electricity Authority for 2015.
Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Public Enterprises Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum made the announcement this morning saying $876,000 performance bonus will go towards the salary and wage earners of FEA.
Sayed-Khaiyum told the staff of FEA that Fiji’s economy is in a very interesting phase and the workers need to play a pivotal and critical role.
He told the staff that they all need to change.
Sayed-Khaiyum then said that even he needs to constantly change his mind set in order to see how everyone can grow together and put in place fundamentals to ensure sustainable economic growth.
He also thanked the staff for their contributions and performance of FEA.
Meanwhile Sayed-Khaiyum also praised the former Chairman of FEA, Nizam Ud-Dean saying he has played a key role in FEA.
He says many of the changes and milestones were achieved in FEA under Nizam‑ud Dean’s leadership.
