People are being urged to remain alert as there is still a flood warning for several areas around the country.
There is a flood warning in force for low lying areas and small streams near the Naqali river, Rewa river and Bagata river in Vanua Levu.
The water level at the Nausori bridge was 0.35 metres above alert level and increasing.
The Nadi Weather Office says the water level in the Naqali river was 2.23 metres above critical level at 8 this morning but it is decreasing.
The water level at the Bagata river was 0.34 metres above alert level and decreasing.
Low tide is at 2 this afternoon.
Category 1 Tropical Cyclone Mona was located about 140 kilometres east-north east of Vanua Balavu earlier this morning.
Cyclone Mona is moving towards the Lau group and the Weather office says people in Fulaga, Oneata, Moce, Komo, Kabara, Namuka-i-lau, Ogea, Vatoa and Ono-i-Lau should expect gale force winds.
These areas should expect winds with speeds of 55 kilometres to 85 kilometres per hour and momentary gusts of up to 120 kilometres. There is also a heavy rain warning in force for the Lau group
