Deputy Secretary for Education, Kelera Taloga.

Deputy Secretary for Education, Kelera Taloga says people should not just be coping with the immediate impacts of Climate Change but they should be planning for future change.

Speaking at the closing of the Training Workshop on Climate Change Education for Fiji Teachers, Kelera Taloga says teachers are now in a position to provide basic psycho-social support to students who have been affected by the cyclone and the flood.

She told the participating teachers that the knowledge gained must not rest with them and the information must be disseminated in its totality to the students.

The week long workshop at St. Joseph’s Secondary School was facilitated by the staff of the National University of Malayisa.
