The people of three more towns have become the part of the people that now have access to free internet under the Fijian Government's DigitalFiji initiative.
This is after the free wifi hotspots were launched in Rakiraki, Tavua and Korovou.
While speaking at the launch in Rakiraki Town, Walesi Board member Izek Lal said that would be beneficial for all members of the public, particularly school students.
He says there are also filters to block any adverse online content.
Members of the three towns can now log onto the Walesi platform to register their details and enjoy 60 minutes of Internet at no cost.
The free WiFi hotspot is an initiative that was announced in the 2018‑2019 National Budget with an allocation of $40 million for increased speed in public WiFi hotspots around Fiji.
