Students around the country now have a chance to learn about saving money while making money following the launch of the 2017 National Poster Competition for primary school students in Fiji.
While launching the event, Minister for Education Dr Mahendra Reddy says the key objective of the initiative is to raise awareness and understanding of savings and investment opportunities in Fiji.
Reddy says that people need to advocate and promote financial education from an early age to ensure the future generations are financially stable.
Meanwhile, Governor of Reserve bank of Fiji Barry Whiteside highlighted that teaching financial education amongst students particularly the primary school students can break the cycle of poverty and inequality.
The competition is split up into three categories and the winners of each category will be awarded $75 cash prize with $75 worth of investment prize.
