People may experience intermittent power supply in West
FEA’s CEO Hasmukh Patel

People may experience intermittent power supply in the Western Division tomorrow as the Fiji Electricity Authority will be carrying out major maintenance works on the Vuda to the Nadarivatu Transmission line.

FEA’s CEO Hasmukh Patel says to enable FEA to undertake these exercise, the 132,000 volts transmission line from Wailoa Hydro Power Station to the Vuda Switchboard will need to be isolated and de-energized.

FEA will rely on its diesel power stations to supply electricity to its customers from the Sigatoka District to the Rakiraki District.

He says their customers in the Western Division may experience intermittent power supply tomorrow in the event of a failure of any of their generating sets.
