Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum stresses that people are appointed on merit under the Bainimarama government, and appointments are not based on religion or race.
While speaking in the Budget Roadshow in Dreketi, Sayed-Khaiyum says the religious vilification by some people, including some politicians, is a serious concern.
He says comments made by some people that Muslims are taking over Fiji, are stupid and nonsense.
The Attorney General says people should not fall for this nonsense as the government believes in common and equal citizenry.
