Extension to The Pearl South Pacific Resort is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
Pacific Building Solutions Project Manager Eric Sphwing said work is progressing to their satisfactory.
Sphwing said they are confident that they will hand over the extension to the Resort this year although they have been facing some challenges.
Meanwhile General Manager, Natalie Marletta had said in an earlier interview with Fijivillage that there will be an increase in the number of jobs following the completion of the development work.
Marletta said the expansion will include an additional 132 rooms bringing the total number to 210 rooms, a new spa, chapel, gym, a signature restaurant, brasserie for 250 guests, retail, and conference facility.
The total cost of the project is $89 million.
