The parents of a student who was allegedly assaulted at school in the western division last week are meeting with the principal of the school and police today to discuss the issue.
The Year 11 student was allegedly assaulted by other students in the school.
Fijivillage understands that video footage of the alleged incident was played in front of the parents, police and two Ministry of Education representatives.
They are now waiting for the students who were allegedly involved in the incident to finish their exams before they can be questioned.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms that a report was lodged at the Lautoka Police Station last Friday.
The family has told Fijivillage that the student who is a prefect in his school went to stop an argument and he was allegedly bashed up by a group of students.
This happened at the school on Friday afternoon.
The student had to be taken to a hospital as he received facial injuries.
