Suva resident Ben Padarath and lawyer Aseri Vakaloloma who are charged with forgery appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this morning.
The case has been adjourned to the 30th of this month as Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili is currently on leave.
Today’s mention was also to see if Ben Padarath has a lawyer.
Padarath was represented by Rajendra Chaudhry who was found guilty of one count of professional misconduct and one count of unsatisfactory professional conduct.
His practising certificate has been suspended until 2017.
The two allegedly forged a document namely the Articles of Association of BECP Engineering Construction Fiji Ltd whereby making a false Page 27 of the third article of association by altering the particulars of subscriber Adishwar Padarath, of 57 Duncan Rd, Domain, Suva, to Voreqe Bainimarama, of 228 Ratu Sukuna Road, Domain, Suva.
Vakaloloma allegedly signed as a witness to the signature while Padarath is alleged to have signed as one of the subscribers.
