PM’s International Business Awards launched

Prime Minister’s International Business Awards recognises and rewards best businesses.

The Awards provide an opportunity for Fijian businesses to benchmark performance, build capability, inspire to innovate, demonstrate service excellence, support job creation, boost employees morale and showcase business achievement to clients and investors.

While officiating at the launch of the awards last night, Minister for Industry, Tourism and Trade Faiyaz Koya highlighted that the Fijian Economy has been growing positively for the past seven years and is projected to grow by 3.8 percent this year, which means growth of businesses and industries, strong consumer confidence and increasing private sector investments.

He also reiterated Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama’s message at the opening of the Climate Action Pacific Partnership Event which was the need to forge a Grant Coalition across the world to step up momentum for climate action.

The Minister for Industry and Trade encouraged companies and investors to lead by example ‑ to move towards renewable energy and to contribute in the fight against climate change.

The 2017 Prime Minister’s International Business Awards feature 12 exciting categories that provide due recognition to organizations from a wide range of sectors.

The categories include, Best Large Operating Internationally Award, Best Medium Operating Internationally Award, Best Small Operating Internationally Award, Emerging Exporter of the year Award, Re-Exporter of the Year Award, Excellence in Innovation Award, Excellence in Service Award, Excellence in E-Commerce Award, Primary Industry Business Excellence Award, Excellence in Business Leadership Award and Socially Responsible Business of the Year and Supreme Award.
