Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama visited the Bula Centre Kindergarten in Auckland yesterday.

Bula Kindergarten is the first and only pre‑school facility in New Zealand that is run by the Fijian community and educates students in both curriculum and also culture, blending Fijian and Maori.

Bula Kindergarten Chairman Nacanieli Yalimaiwai says the visit by the Prime Minister was testimony to Fijians living in New Zealand on the importance of education placed by Government.

Yalimaiwai says this is an important part of the development of Fiji and the visit is a further testimony of the commitment of the Prime Minister not only to Fijians but also education as a whole.

He says this is the first time Bainimarama had visited the kindergarten since its opening four years ago.
