FijiFirst campaign meeting at the Hanuman Gadi Temple in Nakasi last night

Prime Minister and FijiFirst Leader, Voreqe Bainimarama stresses that he is not scaring people when he speaks about the events of 2000 but he is just stating facts on what had happened.

While speaking at the FijiFirst campaign meeting at the Hanuman Gadi Temple in Nakasi last night, Bainimarama says he has made these comments a couple of times and not because he is speaking as a politician but he is speaking as a former Army Commander who was the RFMF Commander for 15 years.

He says although the National Federation Party is saying that Bainimarama is scaring people, the FijiFirst Leader says he will always speak the truth about what had happened.

Bainimarama says other parties apart from FijiFirst want to take the country backwards.

The FijiFirst Leader also says that their focus is on equality for all and has also rubbished claims by people that the FijiFirst is raising the living standards of Indo Fijians and pressing down on the Itaukei. Bainimarama says these claims are not true.

Bainimarama says that a lot of the planning that has taken place since 2007 is included in all the developments that is now seen around the country and will continue depending on the votes of the people.

Other FijiFirst members present at the campaign meeting were General Secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Veena Bhatnagar, Faiyaz Koya, Alipate Tuicolo, Rohit Sharma, Dr Brij Lal, Premila Kumar, Vinay Lata, Vijendra Kumar and Naziah Ali.
