Students of Mataso District School in Ra can now build on a stellar academic reputation after the completion of their new school building.
While opening the new school building at the school Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said this will give the children of Mataso new and modern facilities where they can learn and grow.
Bainimarama says in 1952, the elders of Mataso built the school so that their children would not have to suffer the long, tedious walks to the Natilevu and Nabua districts and over the years, the school has undergone several upgrades and improvements.
The Prime Minister hopes the students will continue to perform in the classroom and achieve great things with these new facilities.
He says the development in the school includes a new boys’ dormitory, a rest room facility, and a renovated school block, dormitory, kitchen and dining area.
These projects cost $211,843.
