There are plans by the government in staying committed and spreading the services of the National Fire Authority throughout the islands.

Speaking at the opening of the new Korolevu Fire Station Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says it’s the government’s job to make the Response Service provided by the NFA readily available throughout the country.

Bainimarama says this service was restricted to the urban centres leaving the rural community vulnerable and that was the reality the government was ready to except today in opening the new Fire Station.

He says this project has extended the reach of NFA to the People of Korolevu and the Coral Coast.

He says the Emergency Response Services can save lives, save property and livelihood from the ever pressuring dangers of fires and other emergencies.

Bainimaramara says often we have heard such stories about families who have lost everything through house fires and even businesses that had been destroyed.

He says what the new station will bring is truly priceless, not only are we safer it provides a measure of protection that will capitalise future growth and development in the community.
