Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama is in India for the first International Solar Alliance Conference which aims to work for efficient use of solar energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
This initiative was first proposed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015.
Bainimarama arrived in New Delhi yesterday and was received by India's High Commissioner to Fiji Vishvas Sapkal and senior staff from India's Ministry of External Affairs.
Also part of the delegation is the Permanent Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister Yogesh Karan with senior government officials.
The founding conference of International Solar Alliance will take place tomorrow.
