Prime Minister and incoming President of Conference of Parties 23 Voreqe Bainimarama has highlighted some key priorities for Fiji’s COP 23.
While speaking at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Bainimarama says the first priority is showcasing best practices for transformative climate action and enhanced ambition.
The Prime Minister says they aim to build and mobilize grand collation of climate action leadership at every level of government.
He says that they will also ensure the benefits of actions are also shared with those that are traditionally marginalised.
Bainimarama says the outcomes from Fiji’s COP presidency will pave the way for the next COP meeting.
