Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama applied the Scouts motto to the nation that is to be prepared for the General Election on the 17th of September.
Speaking to about 400 members of the Scouts Movement at the Lautoka Scouts rally, Bainimarama said we need to be prepared to argue the case for an equal and just Fiji.
He told the scouts to demonstrate to ordinary people that while politicians might be prepared to betray them, the 2013 Constitution will not.
Bainimarama said he liked the theme prepared by the scouts for the three day rally that is “Building Bridges of Friendship” because that is precisely what Fiji has to do as a nation and not create differences.
Bainimarama urged those who have reached the age of 18 and will be voting for the first time, to approach it in the same way as any Scout approaches a decision.
He said we need to care for each other, love each other and protect those who may not be as strong as we are.
