Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama turned babysitter for a moment on the Fiji Airways flight to San Francisco.

Even more special it was Josua Tuisova’s baby he was looking after while the mother had her meal.

Photos of the Prime Minister carrying out his babysitter duties on the plane has received widespread reaction on social media with some saying that it was a great gesture by Bainimarama.

The Prime Minister is in San Francisco after he was invited by World Rugby to attend the event.

Last night, Bainimarama met the Fijiana 7s team and the Fiji Men’s National 7s team and presented the players with their jerseys.

Fiji will meet Japan in their first match of the Rugby World Cup Sevens at AT&T Park in San Francisco at 3.53pm this afternoon.

This is after Japan thrashed Uruguay 33‑7 in their pre round of 16 match this morning.

Barring any upsets, Fiji will either meet Argentina or Canada in the Cup quarterfinals.

The Cup quarters start at 10.32am tomorrow.

Fiji will either meet Australia or New Zealand in the Cup semifinals.

The Cup semis start at 7.40am Monday and Fiji will either meet South Africa, England or USA in the Final at 12.49pm Monday.

Fijians around the country and in different parts of the world are encouraged to fly the Fiji flag as we get ready for the World Cup 7s.

Fiji last won the Melrose Cup in 2005, and 13 years later, fans believe that Gareth Baber has the right mix of players to deliver the win and bring the World Cup home.
