The Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has agreed to help Konalevulevu Tobesoisoi with some of the issues that he has been facing for a long time.
Tobesoisoi who received the Duruka Farmer of the Year Award at the National Agriculture Show had earlier stated that his focus was getting solar electricity for his home to help his children in their studies as they were attending their local primary and secondary schools.
Bainimarama says he read about his story on Saturday, that Tobesoisoi usually walks 10 miles from his home to sell his produce on the side of the road, to provide a better life for his family and children.
He stated that Tobesoisoi is more than an award winning farmer, he is a husband and a father who supports his wife and eight children.
While visiting him in his home in Naitutu Village in Tailevu, the Prime Minister stated that the government will be improving the road that leads to his community to allow for easier travel.
Bainimarama says that they will be installing solar panels for the homes in Tobesoisoi’s community, granting them power and they will also drill a borehole for his family and neighbors so they can have access to a reliable clean water system.
