People’s Community Network has also called on people who have made payments for Lagilagi Housing and have been issued with certain receipt numbers to come forward with the original receipt and copy of their offer letter.
This internal investigation comes in light of an announcement made by Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum about an enquiry on PCN which is being carried out by the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission.
Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum
Sayed‑Khaiyum had said that it has come to the Governments attention that the People’s Community Network (PCN) does not have proper documentation about how the funds were used.
They had also received complaints raising concerns about some people who do not necessarily deserve to be staying at Lagilagi Housing.
The government in partnership with PCN had given about 12 million dollars for the Lagilagi Housing Project.
The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has also started its investigation and it has encouraged Fijians who had made payments in advance and are facing issues in terms of securing a unit or seeking refund to come forward and report the matter to them.
They say those who have current dealings or have had previous dealings regarding the project should visit their office and provide information along with supporting documents.
