The Public Accounts Committee will start scrutinizing the Auditor Generals reports from 2007 to 2009 from next month.
Public Accounts Committee Chairman, Biman Prasad highlighted in the committee’s meeting this morning that they will examine the reports from the 26th to the 30th of January next year.
Prasad also said that the committee will look to scrutinize the Auditor Generals reports from 2004 to 2006 after they get advice from the Auditor General, the Speaker and Secretary General of Parliament.
He has also reiterated that the committee will continue to Bi-partisan, accountable and transparent.
The Public Accounts Committee today also asked Auditor General’s office to prepare a report on the recommendations made by the previous Public Accounts Committee and whether any action has been taken.
Prasad has requested for the report to be submitted to them before the 26th of next month.
