The owner of PA Lal Holdings Limited, Richard Lal says the company is yet to decide on the fate of it’s employees after a fire destroyed their Walu Bay based building yesterday.

About 70 people worked in the building.

Lal also says that they are still not sure about the estimated cost of damage.

Chief Fire Officer Qionilau Moceitai says the cause of the fire is still unknown.

The building was fully engulfed in flames and the fire also spread into the workshop area.

The company workers say the fire started at about 7am from behind the building where they store the fibreglass and thinner.

We have received information that they had two new completed buses in the workshop and work had started on five new buses. All these buses were also fully engulfed in flames.

The area where they store the compressor, gas and oil was also on fire.
