The owner of a private vehicle has been taken into custody for questioning in relation to the death of a 10-year-old boy in Ba.
The boy was crossing the road in Raviravi, Ba after school when he was hit by a private car.
Police say the boy crossed in front of a bus.
He was rushed to the Ba Mission hospital and later to the Intensive Care Unit at the Lautoka hospital where he passed away.
Police are awaiting the post mortem report.
