More jobs are expected to be created following the completion of the development work at the Pearl South Pacific Resort in Pacific Harbor in the next few months.
General Manager, Natalie Marletta said the expansion will see an additional 132 rooms bringing the total number to 210 rooms.
The expansion will also include a new spa, chapel, gym, a signature restaurant, brasserie for 250 guests, retail, and conference facility.
Marletta said the development has bought in more than 200 job placements within the local community and this number will increase over the next few months.
She added that nearby restaurants and service stations are also benefitting from the increased numbers on the site.
Marletta confirmed that the new building is expected to complete in August and upon its completion the marina will be operational and future plans are to have cruise liners tender into the marina.
