More than 1000 people from all works of life attended the Agape Feast hosted by the Methodist Church at the FMF Gymnasium last night.
The event is based on the ancient Christian love feast that is part of the Methodist tradition.
Secretary of Communications, Reverend James Bhagwan said the communal meal is to eat together and share love as a form of reconciliation.
The President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau was amongst the many people who attended this event.
Reverend Bhagwan said reconciliation is the highlight of the weeklong celebration of its Golden Jubilee at Furnival Park in Toorak.
He said church is seeking forgiveness within the church, the vanua and the state.
