Over 100 Paddlers carried out a major clean up along the banks of Navua river all the way to Vunibau village yesterday.
The enthusiast group members of Viti SUP and Va'a have taken up the task to clean our rivers with their slogan paddling for healthy oceans and a healthy Fiji.
Organiser Colin Philp says it is disappointing to see the level of rubbish that is being dumped in our rivers.
The group members of Viti SUP and Va'a are from Fiji Surfing Association, Fiji Outrigger Association, Fiji Yachting Association and Uto Ni Yalo Trust.
The group has already undertaken a clean-up of Rewa river in May this year and their next project will be for the Nadi river in August.
