If next Monday’s Oscars speeches are more bizarre than usual it may have something to do with the nominees' USD$100,000 gift bags.
The legendary bags, distributed to the 25 nominees in acting and directing, will include handmade chocolate truffles infused with cannabis along with skin care products infused with the drug.
Other freebies for the Hollywood stars will include "phobia relief" sessions with "the world's number one phobia expert". They will also get the choice of a boat tour down the Amazon or a trip to the Galapagos Islands, and a week in a California spa worth $US10,000.
Meanwhile, the 91st Academy Awards will begin at 1pm next Monday.
